Download MealGenie from the App Store or Google Play, sign in with Google or Apple, and answer a few quick questions about where you live, where you grew up, your household, dietary needs and the equipment in your kitchen. Your first week is free, and the genie can suggest a full meal for tonight right away.
The genie blends the comfort food of where you grew up with the grocery reality of where you live now, and factors in your household size, dietary restrictions, allergies, disliked ingredients, liked cuisines, spice tolerance, cooking skill, time available, health goals and kitchen equipment. Every recommendation is a complete meal, portioned for your household — not just a single dish.
We collect only what the genie needs to recommend meals, we never see your password (sign-in is handled by Google and Apple), and we don't sell your data. Your text preferences and kitchen photos are sent to Google's Gemini AI to generate recommendations. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play, so you cancel from your store account: on iOS, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation stops the next renewal and stays active until the end of your current billing period. See our Terms for details.
With Family Circle you can add family members by email, ask "should I make this?" before you cook, share what you cooked, and send shareable vote links that anyone can answer. The Family plan ($49.99/year) covers up to 6 people under one subscription. Please only add people who are happy to be invited.

MealGenie runs a deterministic allergen safety check on every recipe, but it is a best-effort aid, not a guarantee. AI-generated recipes and substitutions can be inaccurate. Always read the actual ingredient labels on the products you buy before cooking or eating, especially if you or someone you cook for has an allergy. If you spot a problem, please email us so we can look into it, and never rely on the check alone for a serious allergy. See the AI content & allergen disclaimer.
Your first week is free. After that, Supporter is $2.99/month or $19.99/year, and the Family plan is $49.99/year for up to 6 people. The shopping list is always free. Subscriptions help cover the real AI costs behind every recommendation, recipe and dish photo. See pricing.
